Mayor Beppe Sala will be “joyful” because the name of the city will soon go around the world not only for the Quadrilatero of fashion, luxury, La Scala, museums, monuments, football, basketball and winter games. But ironically also because the car will act as another ambassador. In addition, the debut has already been set for next April 2024 under Madonna, with a fully electric and red model (think Alfa Romeo red).

The surprising announcement arrived the other evening, apparently in the heart of Milan, at the Galleria d’Italia in Piazza della Scala, a stone’s throw from the house where Alessandro Manzoni wrote “The Betrothed”. The fact that Jean-Philippe Learnato, the general manager of Alfa Romeo in Stellantis, chose the heart of the metropolis – and not the Areso Museum or Turin – to exchange Christmas greetings already foreshadowed a lot.
