From bitcoin to human ashes, the curious cargo that will arrive on the moon with Peregrine

Other loads

There are, as Astrobotic points out, loads like i lunar rover from Mexico’s space agency AEM and others from the United Kingdom, Hungary, Germany, Japan, Seychelles and several American universities and companies. And some of them really are bizarre. Inside the lander, for example, there are dedicated chargesartas well as project works MoonArk from Carnegie Mellon University. However, the German shipping company DHL sent one MoonBox, a container of small memorabilia, including photographs, novels and a piece of Mount Everest. However, Japanese company Astroscale sent one Lunar Dream Capsule, a container with messages from children around the world. Furthermore, there is a unique coin loaded with a bitcoin and a copy of the first Bitcoin block to be mined (Genesis Block). Finally, there are capsules that contain human ashes sent on behalf of Celestis and Elysium Space Funeral Homes.

Moon landing

Peregrine will take approximately 46 days to reach the Moon and is therefore expected to touch down on the lunar surface February 23rd next.
