Lvmh Métiers d’Art announced the acquisition of 100% of the shares of Renato Menegatti of Villaverlo, Province of Vicenza, a point of reference in the European metal sector since 1980, the company renamed M.On.De Metal-on-Demand (metals on demand). A natural evolution of the strategy of Lvmh Métiers d’Art, which, after recently consolidating its presence in leather goods with the acquisition of Grupo Verdeveleno (a Spanish tannery of reference in the processing and treatment of exotic leathers) and in silk, with the partnership signed in November with the historic company Hosoo (masters of silk since 1688), is now adding another milestone to its journey, this time in the field of high-end metals. M.On.De. the company in the Veneto district is characterized by the application of processes typical of the world of jewelry in the production of small metal parts for accessories, developing the entire process in-house: from 3D design, through prototyping, production to the processes of galvanization (with gold or palladium), anodizing, satin and polishing. A metamorphosis of raw metal that turns into logos, chains, buckles, eyelets, zippers and studs. The creation of metal accessories for the fashion sector, especially for clothing and leather goods, is a pillar of the luxury industry.

“Metalworking is an ancient art that requires unique skills and mastery – comments Jean Baptiste Voisin, Chief Strategy Officer of LVMH and President of LVMH Métiers d’Art -. We are aware of the importance of preserving and strengthening this tradition and are excited to be able to do so through of this acquisition.” Since its establishment in 2015, LVMH Métiers d’Art has brought together and coordinated a global network of artisanal excellence that includes farms, tanneries of exotic and non-exotic leathers, the world of fabrics and manufacturing. In the world of metal, LVMH Métiers d’Art brings together the Italian manufacturer M .On.De., an Asian Gbjm founded in 2012 in Taiwan and Jade Group based in Portugal and France.
