Zeekr also in Europe, the first electric vehicle has arrived

Finally, the first branded electric car will arrive here in Europe Zeekr, a specialized company in this industry, established in 2021 and owned by Geely Automobile Holdings. This is the Shooting Brake 001, a 536-horsepower car that has seen its first European sale to a customer in Zeist, the Netherlands, where the brand’s Hi-Tech assistance center is based.

Conquest of Europe

China continues to expand its domains beyond its homeland and is doing so with the Zeekr brand, a major startup specializing in premium electric vehicles. Pre-orders for the car in question began in the Netherlands and Sweden from June 28. The first 001 delivered is the range-topping Privilege AWD variant and the delivery was attended by Zeekr Europe CEO Spiros Fotinos, Sales Director Lothar Schupet and Netherlands Sales Manager Marc Bras. There is no shortage of really interesting variants in the model stable, especially o Privilege AWD. It is a car with dual electric motors and boasts an output of 536 HP. It reaches 10 km/h in 3.8 seconds.

Also interesting is the battery life, which is able to travel up to 100 km on a single charge 580 km. The electric car also supports fast charging and the battery can be charged from 0 to 80% in 30 minutes. Here are the words of the aforementioned Fotinos during the inauguration ceremony: “We recently opened our first European ZEEKR center in Stockholm and in a few days in Amsterdam. We are now happy to deliver our first vehicle abroad, here in the Netherlands. It is a very proud moment for all of us and we are delighted that the first of many customers in Europe will experience first hand what makes ZEEKR unique. We are committed to making the transition to electric power simple, seamless and effortless, not when electric mobility becomes a necessity, but right now, so that we can all contribute to a more sustainable future.”

Zeekr, prices of European models

As already mentioned, the European team of registered electric vehicles Zeekr has different variants of the 001. Here are which ones they are and their prices: €59,490 for the single-engine Long Range version, €62,490 for the twin-engine Performance AWD and €67,490 for the aforementioned Privilege AWD. We also remember that the company is particularly famous for this model SUV, which seems to be one of the main reasons why Tesla started reducing the prices of its cars. In addition, the Chinese market is becoming very strong precisely because of its ability to offer products at lower costs.

This situation has already happened a lot in the field of smartphones, and now the same thing could happen to electric cars, if it is true that prices are finally starting to drop significantly in this area as well. However, Zeekr’s goal is to bring his own SUV also in Europe and prepare it for delivery to European customers in the shortest possible time.
